A Mother's Day letter from Morgan

I've tried several times to get a picture of the inside of one (of the four) cards Morgan made me for Mother's Day, but for some reason I'm camera illiterate. So here it is typed out.....

Mother,
I appreciate how you love us and treat us kindly. I decided that I would do you service because that is what you have been doing to us. It starts Monday morning and ends Monday night at 8:00. I will cook dinner and stuff. You just have to give me the recipe.

Love,
Morgan Ann and the family

I couldn't ask for better kids......

Why I have the best husband in the world.......

....because he's willing to have lots and lots of kids just so we can have one of these cool rides...
Ok, really- this is mine! Josh loves me so much (and we have enough kids) that after much discussion and lots of prayer he found this on Auto Trader for a good price and in good condition. This past Friday Josh and Nanette (my mother-in-law) drove 4 hours away to look at it- Josh came home with it. It's huge, but I LOVE it! It drives easily (kind of like a Suburban) and has plenty of space for all my kids (plus friends, plus room for us to have more kids......) Josh's older sister thinks we should paint a peace sign on it, and put a mattress in the back- but if we do that then we'll actually end up needing a bus.....

So anyone in the market for a minivan- I have a Honda Odyssey calling your name.......

Mother's Day

**Pictures courtesy of Raelyn, age 4**
A little over eight years ago you could NOT have convinced me that I would, at this point, be a mother of four with one cooking inside. But now, you couldn't convince me I want anything else. I love being a mother- and although I feel like many of faults and flaws are brought out (temper to list one....) I also feel like my children (and their dad!!) bring out the best in me. I enjoy having in depth conversations with them, playing with them, snuggling with them, vacationing with them and teaching them- although they teach me much more than I could ever teach them.
I love my mom and feel so blessed to have her close by- she is a strength in my life- and when I grow up I want to be like her.

I had grand intentions of getting pictures of the kiddos with all their grandmas and great-grandmas we saw yeterday. Like all good plans- this one failed. I only remembered to try with one and then those pictures are horrible because I forgot to turn on the flash. I guess I'll try in the next few weeks.

This is how you look when your hopes and dreams are dashed......
....because your sister got to go on the four-wheeler and it wasn't your turn......
......life can be so hard sometimes.......
....but then you can be a spoiled little boy and daddy will take you on a dirt bike ride. Then you can live happily ever after.

Elated...

Can't you just feel the joy of swimming for the first time this year?

This video is mainly for Aunt Taylor (en Espana) who hasn't even gotten to see Gracen walk! We can't wait until she comes home (June 1st!!!!!)

14 months later the scene is very similar......

This picture (taken a half an hour ago) looks a lot like THIS picture taken last year.
